Even though we only had 3 fencers compete in the Kansas City NAC, all three of them earned national points! In Junior Foil, Ali and Kaveh Shafaie both won 5 out of 6 pool bouts and advanced through three rounds of DEs before losing in the table of 64. Kaveh finished 39th and Ali finished 52nd. In Cadet Foil, Kaveh won all 6 pool bouts and went into the table of 32 before losing 15-13. Kaveh finished 18th in the Cadet tournament. Elena Vona also had a great day in Cadet Foil, where she won her DE in priority to secure a top-64 finish to earn national points. Congrats to all and keep up the good work!
