Ali Shafaie had a great day representing Rutgers University in the MACFA Championships. His victories on the A-strip for the Rutgers team contributed to their 5th place finish in Men’s Foil. After winning a close 15-14 bout in the round of 16 against teammate Robin Hu, he lost to the eventual winner Candescu from NJIT in the quarter-finals. Now, Ali and the Rutgers team will work for the Collegiate Club Championships @ Rhode Island College in April!
